In April of 2022, Kwa-Zulu Natal experienced exceeding high levels of rainfall, resulting in widespread flooding. Many people lost their lives, and homes.
Additionally, many points of critical infrastructure were also damaged, resulting in many areas having reduced or no potable water access in the immediate aftermath. This destruction was so great that some areas would be left without potable water for months.
As a business started in KZN, Evoware dedicated it CSI budget to help assist the various affected communities as best we could. Jojo tanks were identified as a stop gap solution. These tanks were placed in nearby points for the benefit of the community and therafter, both private businesses and government brought in water tankers to help alleviate the plight of residents. A special thanks must also be made to Set Point Laboratories for providing the initial water safety tests for free.
